A Delphi invoicing application migrated to TypeScript, on an internal POC.
Internal POC run on Raptor Invoice, a Delphi invoicing application released as open source by its author (Apache 2.0 license). The business core (invoice cycle, VAT, customer sales, about 1,333 lines of Delphi) was inventoried, its business rules extracted, then ported to TypeScript on Cloudflare Workers with a SQLite database. 01Context
- Open-source Delphi invoicing application (Raptor Invoice), data in a proprietary Volga Tables database
- Business rules mixed with the UI: validation, calculation and saving in the same forms
- Undocumented interest formula (divisor 3600), to be validated by an accountant before migration
02Intervention
- Inventory of the source code and tables (ATLAS step E1)
- Extraction of business rules: invoicing, credit note, reminder, notice and payment
- Port of the business core to TypeScript, exposed as a REST API on Cloudflare Workers
- Data schema moved to a SQLite database (Cloudflare D1)
